There are going to be times when more than one tooth needs to be replaced. The goal is to save your original teeth and healthy gums while offering you choices for replacing the teeth that have been lost.

We are dedicated to giving you a smile of which you can be proud. We aim for natural looking and well-functioning teeth without causing any additional tooth loss.

The most common teeth that need to be replaced are the three back teeth. To fill the space, we may use a fixed bridge or dental implants. Some people prefer to have removable appliances like dentures, but they can take time to get used to. A fixed bridge will be strong and is not removable but still requires more care to maintain that your natural teeth.

Orthodontics
Orthodontics is a dental speciality that involves correcting teeth that are improperly positioned and that may affect the bite. Here at Roseville Dental, we work with specialists who offer the best and most up-to-date orthodontic services for our patients.

Orthodontists treat malocclusions (which are often called bad bites) and teeth that are out of position which can also be hard to clean, leading to cavities and other problems down the line. Orthodontists also focus on the development of the facial bones and jaw.

We also provide cosmetic orthodontics which focusses on straightening the front smiling teeth and can often be completed in much shorter time-spans (often less than 9 months) than conventional orthodontics. Call us to find out more on 01902 678 202.

Implants
Dental implants are titanium roots placed in your mouth for either fixed teeth to be placed on or ones that you can remove and are the gold standard restoration for replacing single missing teeth.

Dental implants are done to improve a patient’s function and usually their self-esteem.
Having missing or bad teeth can be quite embarrassing and Dental implants can give you a solution that you can have confidence in. Many people find it easier to eat with dental implants and find they can function better with them. Dental implants are also more comfortable because they are made to last a long time.

When done correctly, and with proper care, dental implants may last a patient’s whole life. It is very important to brush and floss, your implants and teeth as well as mouthwash when you have implants. Patients still need routine dental check-ups to keep their implants healthy.

Dentures
Removable dental replacements, or dentures, are a common, high quality, service that we provide for our clients. We provide both complete dentures (for when all teeth are missing) and partial dentures (for when some teeth are missing).

With advances in modern dentistry there so many new materials that can be used to make dentures ranging from the conventional acrylic and metal framework dentures to new flexible dentures.

Implant retained/supported dentures are a good way of giving you dentures that do not move around when you use them and can help you to eat the foods you want to eat with confidence.

Immediate dentures are made in advance and can be positioned as soon as the teeth are removed so you don’t have to walk around with gaps in your mouth!

Patients may need dentures for a variety of reasons. We promise to communicate with you throughout the process in order to provide you with the best dental care possible.

Dentures can solve a wide range of problems for patients who have had their teeth removed.
Dentures can allow patients to use their mouths more normally again and are a useful option when we need to fill multiple spaces.

Fixed Bridgework
A bridge is a false tooth that is fixed into the mouth using another tooth in the mouth. You will need to have at least 2 visits. The tooth is prepared to create the ideal shape for the bridge. The dentist will then take an impression of the prepared area, one of the opposite jaw and possibly another one to mark the way you bite together.

The impressions and information about the shade of your teeth will be given to a dental technician who will be skilled in making the bridge.

A temporary bridge may also be made until the permanent one is ready. These temporary bridges may be more noticeable, but are only in place for about 2-3 weeks.
